framed in that black...beautiful either way
but I think I'd opt for the contrast.

Kudos to the way you balanced out the pic,
~1/3 for the bigger and stronger colored
plank; ~2/3 for the narrower and weaker
colored blue planks.

It is arguable that the effects of
industrialization's developments from the
20th century until the present time have
'simplified' our state of living. Of course
the benefits of industrialization are
apparent; convenience and comfort can be
accessed by simply 'pushing buttons',
minimizing precious time and effort. But at
what cost?
Consumerism is escalating, not only in
developed nations, but more rapidly and
recently too in developing nations.
'Burn-out' and consequently 'demand' is on
the increase. Earth's resources are being
used up, discarded and subsequently wasted.
It has taken the best part of a century to
realize and comprehend the damage that has
been inflicted not only upon the earth, but
also upon ourselves and our lives. It is
questionable there will be the best part of a
further century in which efforts can be made
to slow down the effects of the devastation
caused by industrialization.
Utilization, restoration, recycling, using
and understanding the usefulness, beauty and
importance of existing natural resources may
be helpful in beginning to make a difference.
If education and exposure be the locks to be
opened, then let wood and timber be the keys.
Simple and trusted methods: simple and
trustworthy solutions.
There are so many ways in which wood can be
made more visible and viable as a precious
and useful natural resource as well as
promoting its ecological and aesthetic
benefits to life and the earth in general.
Time is of the essence. Forests do not grow
overnight, education takes time to reach the
masses; but we can change our wood; we can
change ourselves; we can change our lives; we
can change our earth.
Thanks to Wood, thanks to Timber.
